Sport Studies

The Department of Sport Studies at WVU Tech has a B.S. undergraduate degree in Athletic Coaching Education (ACE) and a B.S. undergraduate degree in Sport Management (SM). Both programs are West Virginia University degrees. Students are admitted as Pre-ACE and Pre-SM majors prior making application to their program of interest (see Admission Requirements). ACE has approximately 60-80 majors and SM has approximately 30-40 majors.

Beginning in the Fall of 2011, all ACE majors are required to have a minor and all SM majors are required to complete an internship. All courses are offered on the WVU Tech campus to complete each degree. Students may also take courses at the main campus in Morgantown, West Virginia, including additional choices for a minor or area of emphasis. For more information please go to: http://cpass.wvu.edu/academic_programs. A wide variety of courses are also offered to the Tech student body through the Basic Instruction component.
