WVU Tech Writing Center
The WVU Tech Writing Center is located on the ground floor of Carter Hall in rooms G1A, G1C, and G1D.
Spring 2023 Hours:
Tuesdays 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Thursdays 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Walk-ins are welcome
Appointments are for 30 minutes.
The Writing Center provides assistance with writing assignments for all majors and in all courses.
To schedule an appointment
After scheduling an appointment, you will receive a Google Calendar invite emailed
to your MIX account. Please be sure to keep your calendar invite.
***If possible, please email your paper to Tech-Writing-Center@mail.wvu.edu at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment so that tutors can better assist you.
If you are not on campus and would like to schedule a Zoom meeting with a tutor, please email Tech-Writing-Center@mail.wvu.edu to request a Zoom appointment.To cancel a scheduled appointment in the writing center:
1. Access the Google Calendar invite you received when the appointment was scheduled.
2. Locate the Cancel Appointment button at the bottom of the invite.
3. Click Cancel Appointment.
4. Click Cancel Appointment when the appointment box opens.
5. Click Confirm.
