How the program works

Like any good dish, our program is made of ingredients from all over the WVU System.

Here's what you need to know: the Hospitality (Culinary) program is a WVU Potomac State College program offered at WVU Tech in Beckley, West Virginia. The easiest way to explain this is that you're a WVU Potomac State College student, but you'll learn and study (and taste your new creations) in Beckley.

Who do I contact regarding academics?
When it comes to classes, your instructors will all be WVU Tech professors. If you have questions about classes, scheduling, academic deadlines or anything regarding your day-to-day studies, they're your best contact.

Who do I contact regarding payments, financial aid and other administrative services?
Since the program is administered by WVU Potomac State College, they'll handle everything involving student accounts, payment deadlines and more. You'll be able to work with WVU Tech's Financial Aid department on financial aid issues.

What about campus services like parking and student IDs?
Since you'll be learning and interacting on the Beckley campus, all of that will be handled through WVU Tech. You can learn more about parking and student IDs on the WVU Tech Student Accounts website (but remember: payments and other students account issues are handled through the WVU Potomac State College Office of Student Accounts).

Can I participate in student organizations on campus?
Yes! We have more than 40 student organizations that cover interests ranging from student government and advocacy to gardening and fishing.
