Paul H. Rakes, Ph.D.

Dr. Rakes holds a Ph.D. in history from WVU with a focus on Appalachia and technology studies with corresponding research and publications that focus on early coal mining in West Virginia. He teaches Appalachian Regional History, Revolutions in Science and Technology, Recent America, and United States surveys.
